Live Action Mario

Now this is a truly impressive live action rendering of Super Mario Bros. I've seen a few of these before, but this takes the cake. And apparently it was done on a pretty low budget by kids at Gordon College in Massachussetts.

Rivers Cuomo on CBC

Anyone who knows weezer knows that Rivers Cuomo doesn't do a lot of interviews. By all accounts he's getting weirder and more secluded. But I'm still a weezer überfan and it's even flattering as a Canadian that he would be on CBC's Definately Not The Opera. I used to listen to DNTO in high school, and I know fellow MKZ contributor Rob did too. Unfortunately I missed the interview, but luckily some bigger weezer überfans than myself made an MP3 of it on their fansite weerez.

Bush was Right

Ever wonder what Green Day would sound like if they were right wing shills? Enter The Right Brothers, a band of rockers that make songs espousing their right wing beliefs. Now, I have nothing against people expressing their beliefs in their songs, but these guys just sounds so ridiculous. Check out the music video for their song Bush was Right that's making the iPod of every right wing pundit (in the link above).

An advocacy group, Right March, has been formed with the aim of getting their song on MTV's Total Request Live. Check out the letter they send to supporters, which includes the lyrics to Bush Was Right.

The scariest thing is that this is not a parody. Both The Right Brothers and Right March are totally serious. Keith Olbermann made his own music video for the song, which is funny, but I'm not sure truth isn't more funnier than parody in this case.
